On Friday I joined the Passle Client Success Team to Deloitte to deliver a quick session on how to create content using Passle. This was ahead of the Innovate Finance Global Summit 2019 in which Deloitte are a Platinum Sponsor. I spoke about the importance of establishing an online presence. 

Social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram are a great way to share a snapshot of what you are up to, but blogging offers a platform to really show your industry expertise. Whether you are an elite athlete in search of sponsorship, or a financial service provider looking to expand your client base - showing people that you are the industry expert in a specific field is a great starting point.

For me blogging was a way to connect with current and potential sponsors and offer insight on the things I've learnt from elite sport that can be applied to business. Through this process I organically expanded my network, and this also led to many conversations with interesting individuals and organisations about what to do after my sporting career. Win Win.
